01
Manufacturer Coverage
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, product warranty coverage is generally provided by the original manufacturer, not by the storefront alone.
Coverage length, remedies, and exclusions vary by brand, product line, and intended use.
02
What Is Usually Not Covered
Warranty coverage may be denied or limited where a product was installed incorrectly, used outside its intended purpose, tuned improperly, raced, abused off-road, altered, or combined with incompatible parts.
Normal wear, cosmetic changes, consumable service items, or labor and downtime are commonly excluded as well.
- Improper installation or missing supporting modifications
- Incorrect fitment verification before purchase
- Race use, competition stress, or off-road abuse
- Unauthorized disassembly, modification, or repair attempts
03
How Claims Are Commonly Handled
A warranty claim may require the original order number, proof of purchase, clear photos, serial numbers, diagnostic details, and any manufacturer-requested inspection steps.
Some brands require customers to work directly with the manufacturer, while others allow the seller to help coordinate the process.
04
No Guarantee of Special Outcomes
A warranty does not guarantee that a part will meet a customer's specific horsepower, drivability, emissions, durability, or racing-use goals.
Warranty coverage is generally limited to defects in materials or workmanship as defined by the manufacturer.
05
Labor and Related Expenses
Labor charges, diagnosis time, removal and reinstallation costs, towing, storage, dyno time, missed events, rental vehicles, and other incidental expenses are typically not reimbursed unless expressly required by written manufacturer terms.
