ProCharger is a brand of centrifugal supercharger. A belt or gear drive turns a step-up transmission and centrifugal compressor. Power delivery generally builds with engine speed, combining a turbo-like compressor with a crank-driven response relationship.
Calculate speed from pulley diameters and the exact head-unit internal step-up ratio. All diameter inputs must use the same unit.
A centrifugal supercharger does not use exhaust energy. The crankshaft drives a high-speed impeller through an external belt and an internal step-up ratio. Unlike most positive-displacement superchargers, its airflow and pressure capability rise strongly with speed.

A head unit should reach the desired operating range near—but not beyond—its permitted impeller speed, while retaining airflow headroom and acceptable discharge temperature.
